In 2009, I was just starting out on my own as a photographer and my now-brother-in-law asked that I take some pictures of my niece and nephew. It was one of the first real photo shoots that I did. I learned a lot that day. Simple things like you get better pictures by just letting people be themselves. Trying to pose people, especially children, can prove to be very difficult.
This past weekend, almost three years later, I had the opportunity to do another session with them and their mom. Looking back, it’s amazing how much they have grown- and how much I have grown as a photographer.
I’m blessed to be able to do what I love and give people memories that they can cherish forever.
Beautiful pictures, beautiful family!
