As a photographer I’m always looking for new opportunities to grow my photography portfolio.

My friend Lisa, was in town and spending time at a small horse barn in Cottage Grove, TN. She invited me out there to join her for a tour of the grounds and introduced me to several of the horses on the property.

The Tennessee countryside out there was absolutely breathtaking…rolling hills of green grass, crystal blue sky. Photos can’t even do it justice but I tried.

It was a great expereince and I got some great shots. I loved having the opportunity to take pictures while I was there. Lisa gave me some great pointers for what riders and horse lovers are looking for in pictures. And I put some of her advice to work.

Hopefully I’ll get another opportunity to visit with her and the horses.
